Born in Milan; Luca Pellizzaroli has worked in the planning and organization of cultural events since his youth. In the 1994 he worked for Asolo Musica Association as a their Tutor for a program on "String Quartet" sponsored by European Social Fund.  Since 1995 he has been collaborating with the Institute of Music of Treviso (Italy) as a "Prod. Manager-Event Coord.” managing and organizing concert cycles primarily in opera music but also including  classical music, jazz and performing arts and expositions...

Mr. Pellizzaroli cut his teeth on opera as an Assistant Prop Manager for the International Music Festival of Ascona. His early career also included periods as Front of House and Surtitles Editor. He has trained in a wide range of theatrical professions in theatre and opera houses throughout the world.

Mr. Pellizzaroli’s  first operatic assignments came in 1995 from the International Music Festival of Macao as Assistant Stage Director. Since 2000, he has also worked for the Macao Festival as Assistant Stage Manager unt

il 2008.  In the 2009 worked as Assistant Stage Manager in the Wexford Opera Festival.

As a guest Italian language Teacher, Stage Director and Stage Manager, Luca has been engaged by many young artist development programs, including the Ezio Pinza Council for American Singer of Opera and the Spoleto Art Symposia in their productions at the Caio Melisso theatre. Since 2005 he has also collaborated  with the Autunno Musicale in Como (Italy), and the opera festival “OperainPiazza” in Oderzo (TV).

 

He has recently made his successful debut as Stage Director with La Serva Padrona by Pergolesi – “The lively direction of  Luca Pellizzaroli is enriched from allusions and homages to the operatic world that frame the evolution of three artists. His modern spectacle gives a certain added value to this remarkable representation” <Voce del Logudoru> , with  The Telephone by Menotti and with the show: “An evening with Mr. Rota” – “skilful and innovative the direction of Luca Pellizzaroli”. <AilNotizie.it>

 

In the 2014 he worked alongside the stage director Sonia Dorigo for the production The Magic Flute mise-en-scène in the Udine Opera House and for Arcibaldo Sonivari E il Misterioso caso della Musica scomparsa produced in Udine and Pordenone.

 

He has just debuted “La Voix Humaine” at Da Ponte Opera House: he received great reviews from the critics (GBOPERA wrote: “Powerful direction” and also “ the contextualization was highly original: to locate all the long phone call in Elle’s mind is a successful idea!”

Just appointed as Acting Teacher at the "G. Verdi" Institute of Music in Macomer.

 

My future engagements include Cavalleria Rusticana in Valencia, Le donne vendicate by Piccinni in Arezzo, Le Fugitive (Assistant Director #SoniaDorigo) by Gregoretti, Let’s make an opera (Assistant Director #SoniaDorigo) by Britten and among the future projects there is a theatrical show based on the pièce “Le dîner de cons” the by Francis Veber and La Medium by Menotti.
